PLEASE help, i think ive made a mistake, or given in again!?

i gave in to my demons again , and only had one big bag of pick and mix which i had for 2 films at the start and end of the day, yep it was big, and filled with lots of fizzys and jelly sweets. I had with each film, 1 medium sized (cineworld cinemas) diet/ coke zero. During the day, i did lots of walking, and i've now calculated using gmaps online pedometer (which actually works it out so it equals less , due to not taking into consideration pace, climate or gradient) how many calories i have burnt. it said around 1200. now do, you guys think thats overtaken what i've consumed?



And on top of this would someone PLEASE WORK OUT my BMR , i am 16 , 6ft , 98 pounds and go on daily walks burning around 500calories a day-(600 some days) and today obviously ive done this.So i COUNT AS ACTIVE



please help, i am paranoid about maintaining the shape of my legs as they are, and don't want to go running, which i used to do daily (2 miles) ANYMORE.PLEASE help, i think ive made a mistake, or given in again!?
Okay first off if you're 6ft tall and weigh 98 lbs. You don't need to be worried about gaining weight. I'm 13, 5'4" and weigh 120 lbs. To me you sound anorexic if anything at all.PLEASE help, i think ive made a mistake, or given in again!?
You can calculate your own BMR (basal metabolic rate) and overall MR (metabolic rate) based on activity using the free weight loss advisor at LoseFatPronto.com. I've found it very helpful.

If you are 6 feet tall and only weigh 98 pounds, I dont think you need to worry about maintaining your shape.

  • What is going on with my GPS? Am I now a plane?

    Hi, i just got the droid and the gps with google and my tracking app. Tells me I'm flying over a state I don't live in. and i'm going over 300mph... I am slightly confused as it worked great until yesterday. every time I use my navigation using gmaps, and or my tracker/ also connected with gmaps or google navigation it says searching for gps and telling me my speed of 300+ mph and my elevation is commercial plane.

    How do I get my gps to noticed me again instead of planes?

    Is this something that should be reported?

    1) Make sure your CLOCK is accurate. If you have wrong time set your GPS won't work



    2) Make sure you are in the open, with view of the sky. Else your GPS signal will be bad.



    3) Takes several minutes for full lock-on and full accuracy.

    2 identical Android Phones receiving upgrades differently?

    Hello,



    Both me and my work colleague have new (some months old) Google Nexus S's. They were both bought unlocked (full price, no contract) and sealed. We both have Android 2.3.4 (manually installed). When the last GMaps update was released I received it in a matter of days, but he never got it... now, he got the new Market update a week ago and there's no sign of it on my phone. I can't understand why this is happening. Are there other possible differences I don't know about? (We both live in Bucharest, Romania... hell, during the day we're even at the same coordinates :P )



    PS: neither phone is rooted. What am I missing? :)

    Updates are usually rolled out using the phones IMEI numbers

    hi. I'm being sent to tsuruoka japan in yamagata pref. this summer for about a month. I heard from a bunch of japanese ppl that that its apparently a dead town. does anyone know a cheap way to get to tokyo or osaka from haguro highschool or tsuruoka? Gmaps didn't tell me squat.

    Anyways while I'm in haguro what is there exactly to do there? I heard about two beaches there and thats about it.

    How are the people there?

    Is there any nightlife in tsuruoka?

    Old people in Yamagata speak in an ultra strong accent, which is hard for me to understand. That will force you to learn the language there from zero.

    They usually close shops at 7 pm and play "shogi" (Japanese chess) because there is a famous Japanese Chess Pieces manufacturing district (Tendo) near the city.



    Young people, if any, and "wild animals" go to Sakata for night life.

    You should buy a K-car, snowmobile or chopper.
    Tsuruoka is a small town which is distant from Tokyo. It's more far away from Osaka. Do not expect any "cheap" or even fast (but expensive) transportation to Tokyo.



    It takes at least 5 hours to get from Tsuruoka to Tokyo. More to Osaka.



    Another answer says it has Shinkansen station. But it does not in fact. Shinkansen does not come to Tsuruoka station. It's for other normal trains.

    There is little to do there. We can watch TV. But you would not understand Japanese TVs.

    Apparently there is a stop there for the Shinkansen (or Bullet Train). That might be a viable option.Japanese high school lifestyle etc?
    Let's get things straight.



    You're going to be living in the countryside.



    Tokyo will be a major outing for you. If you're living up in Tsuruoka, your best bet for a major city will be Sendai, which will take time to get to.



    However, I can understand wanting to go to Tokyo because there's no city like it, and Sendai is only a fraction of the size of Tokyo.



    If you want to go to Osaka, you'll be taking a vacation. It's hardly a place you can just hop on a train and get to easily.



    If you haven't studied Japanese, you might want to start. At least you can get down the two "alphabets" hiragana and katakana. Just knowing those will help you out quite a bit.



    What do you do in Haguro? See when you get there. No doubt people will be happy to see a foreigner. They'll be excited that someone has come from so far away to live in their town for awhile. I'm sure you'll have plenty of chances to hang out. People will show you around if you're willing.



    I'm not sure what you mean by nightlife for highschool students. Almost everywhere in Japan there's karaoke, so you'll probably be doing that.



    Japanese don't do the nightclub thing. Those places exists, but only in major cities, and they're frequented by half the gaijin (foreign) population, so they're not very indicative of life in Japan. Like if you're out to meet girls, you'll only meet a certain type of girl at those places (the ones obsessed with foreigners).



    Keep searching on the interweb for more info. regarding that area. Search in Japanese if you can.

    Should i give my legs a day off?

    most days , i go on walks that add up to around 600 calories burnt.(underestimated due to gmaps)

    however, ive done a couple of 800- 1000 days sometimes , like on wednesdays and saturdays and this week monday too.



    i have this to eat each day



    1 - 59 cal breakfast bar

    1- braeburn apple

    1- bottle of mineral water







    no lunch, maybe a coke zero.



    for dinner 1 tin of heinz spaghetti bolognese.

    1 pear

    1 coke zero





    how much is this i total? should i rest my legs somedays, as they do ache sometimes? any suggestions for when ?

    What is wrong with you? 98 pounds? You should be eating more calories than that your probably a stick. I suggest you stop trying to burn off your calories, and intake more calories.Should i give my legs a day off?

    That's sick... you only weigh 98lbs? get some weight put on you. Eat a more healthy diet, mix it up. Do some weight training. Get out of the same old routine, your body will thank you later.
    I think you should start taking care of yourself better in general. What you eat is not healthy, you should be adding more food (especially protein and whole grains), and you should be giving your body time to rest. If you do insist on treating your body this way, then yes, you should give your legs a rest on various days. You could work with your arms (lifting light weights, swimming, etc.) on T and Th, and then stick to your walking on MWF. You should give your body a rest on Saturday and Sunday. If you feel wrong doing nothing, than go to the park and play football (or whatever sport you want, maybe frisbee) with your friends, that way you're still exercising but you're also giving yourself time with friends and working on your mental health (happiness, etc.). I hope this helps and I really hope you realize that what you're doing to your body at the moment can lead to much bigger health issues, including death.

    If you are walking at a slow pace you don't have to worry to much about injury. If you are feeling sore then yes I would take a break for a day. Also your long walks you should probably take a break after. Aim for 4 times a week.



    What concerns me about your post is you are burning 600 on most days but you are taking in far less then that. You need calories to maintain your body and if you exercise you need more. Since you don't need to loose any weight then I would suggest upping your calories with healthy food. I would highly suggest you visit a nutritionist to figure out what and how much you should be eating.
    You are burning off more calories than you are taking in, and you know this, which is why you are walking as often as you do.



    It is likely that you are anorexic, but only your doctor will be able to tell. Please consult your parents and go see a doctor. If you choose to continue on this same path, you could end up damaging your heart, your kidneys, your stomach, your intestines, to the point that you will die. You may not die today. You may not die tomorrow, but you will die, and it will be much sooner than you'd like for it to be.

    What i did yesterday was it safe?

    yesterday according to gmaps pedometer (which ive now been told underestimates the calories burnt and full distance) i apparently burnt around 900+ calories walking. and yes i did alot of long walks so it is possible. however, is it accurate or does it really undestimate like ive heard :/ ?



    also is it safe to be burning off around 1000 calories a day ? (like i did)

    if you are 6 feet tall and weigh 98 pounds, you should be looking to GAIN weight, not lose it. You can't look healthy at that height and weight...

    Sounds like your anorexic, eating incorrectly and addicted to exercise. Probably should get some help with that, you're severely underweight.What i did yesterday was it safe?
    i'm no doctor, but at your height/weight, i don't think you should be worrying about burning calories. and eating just candy all day is not healthy. you should try to eat well balanced meals, with lots of vegetables, some fruit, and lean protein.
    you don't need to loose weight i am younger than you and i weigh just a couplelbs lighter than you. i think you shouldn't try to burn 1000 calories a day. maybe every once in a while to keep in shape like if you eat a LOT.
