Where to stay in kalibo?

hello :-)

im goin to boracay, but have to stay 2 days in kalibo.

can u sudgest the best hotel there?

im looking on gmaps but no pictures of the rooms, or outside...

The first link even has photos of the hotel, though not of the rooms.



My personal choice is Sampaguita Gardens in New Washington. I stayed there overnight before and it is right by the beach. I remember even going to a room there full of miniature items, dolls, etc which I was told is a personal collection of the owners.



I have also stayed in 2 hotels at the city center, both of them not found in the first link, but listed on the second link below. One is right at the terminal where passengers take vans from Kalibo to Roxas/Iloilo. I think that looking at the second list, it must be the La Esperanza Hotel. I suggest you also check this out. Not the best, but pretty decent. I even got a suite with a king size bed, a lounge set, plus an extra bed - - - - a water bed. The staff even boasted that April Boy Regino, a jologs singer, stayed in the room and loved the water bed.



In one trip, I also stayed overnight in an old old hotel, listed in the second link. The hotel is called Glowmoon. It is probably the oldest hotel in Kalibo, right beside the Kalibo cathedral. Airconditioned, and definitely NOT expensive.
